Christmas

Christmas was great this year. Ethan got some cool stuff from Santa, Seth got some new boots from Renee and Ethan, and Renee received a book that was a compilation of all of her "eco-talk" newspaper articles (which she writes weekly for the local newspaper). Kayla had a great big peanut butter treat for christmas but she got sick later in the day because she ate too much cat food at grandma and grandpa's house! All in all we had a fantastic Christmas and look forward to a new year!

Ethan decided he did not want anymore of his lunch today so he rejected it in a cute kinda way!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving day we visited Seth's parents in Candor. The whole family was together for the holiday which brought great fun and lots of laughter. On Friday the women hit the mall for black Friday deals while the men babysat. When we returned Seth, Ethan, Kayla and I smiled for Christmas pictures. I am not going to post them because you will be receiving them in the mail shortly! But here is a sneak peek- Ethan is showing off his big bottom chompers for the camera! He got his top two teeth today! Just in time for Christmas!

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun this year! We carved pumpkins, dressed up and exploited Ethan to get free candy!

Family Trip to New Hampshire

We took a short trip up north to Main, New Hampshire and Vermont to visit family and friends. Ethan did great for his very first long trip! We arrived in NH Friday night. On Sat. Seth helped his friend Ken remodel his basement. On Sunday, we met Seth's brother for lunch and then headed to Kittery Main to shop at the outlets. On Monday, we took a scenic drive through Vermont and stopped to see Seth's Cousin Tim and their new baby boy!

Camping at Letchworth State Park

This weekend we borrowed my parents camper and went on our first camping trip of the year! We had cold nights but beautiful days. All in all it was a great weekend and a beautiful place to camp. As you can see we went hiking along the falls and what camping trip is complete without smoked meat!

Ethan's First Solid Food!

Ethan had his first solid food on 9/12/09. He loved the rice cereal! In fact he ate the entire bowl. Take a look at the picture of Dad and Ethan after the meal-Ethan is sooo happy!

Labor Day

During Labor Day weekend was packed full of fun. We went to our friends, Keelyn and Scott's wedding, visited with family and smoked fresh salmon that our friends Nate and Lauren caught on Lake Ontario!

Keepin Cool

August seems to be the hottest month this summer. So we have been giving Ethan kitchen sink showers! He loves the faucet sprayer!

Ethan's first concert

This past week we took Ethan to his first concert-the Marshall Tucker Band. We went with our friends Nate and Lauren to Inner Harbor in Syracuse to see the band. It was a beautiful night and great entertainment.

Hunting in Style

This past weekend Seth helped my father build a free standing enclosed tree stand. It is awesome and I can't wait to use it!!! It will be insulated with panaoramic views of the property. It stands about 14 feet tall and has a 4'X4' deck for bow hunting. Someone said to us-"You might be a redneck if your tree stand makes your property taxes go up" You be the judge!

A Day on Owasco Lake

We recently visited my parents and family while they vacationed on Owasco Lake. They rented a cute camp that my co-worker owns. It turned out to be a great weekend-only rained one morning:)

Visit with Great Grandma Jensen

Ethan recently visited with Great Grandma Jensen. He was a great boy and gave Grandma lots of smiles!

Ethan is now 4 months old and weighs close to 15 pounds. He is getting bigger and stronger everyday!

Our new home

In June we moved into our new home. It is a great place and we are enjoying city life! Kayla has had the hardest time adjusting but we know it will just take her a bit of time.

Ethan began smiling at 6 weeks old but it has been so hard to get him to smile for the camera-that is until now!

Ethan is now 11 weeks old, weighs 13 pounds and is 24 inches long! Can you believe it!

Baptism

On April 17th Ethan John Jensen was baptized at St. Patricks Church in Otisco. The ceremony was very nice and the baptism party was a lot of fun thanks to all of our friends and family!

Our first hike together

On Sunday, April, 26th we took our first hike at Green Lakes State Park. Ethan rode in his front pack and slept the whole time! Everyone wanted to take a look at Ethan but Kayla (our dog) was being a bit protective and would bark if someone even looked at him. Kayla was never a protective dog. In fact she is still a puppy who loves to play but when Ethan came home she decided she had a new job-to keep the baby safe!

Growing up so fast

At 4 1/2 weeks old Ethan took his first bottle with no problem at all. Dad was the first to try the bottle out and it was a success!

Today Ethan weighs over 10lbs!
